Question

I have a brand new LG Smart TV. I cannot find HBO in the LG App menus to be able to add it to my list. Then when I try to access via the LG Browser, it tells me that I am unable to run the content as the browser needs to be updated. Can somebody tell me how I can access HBO Go via my new Smart TV? I have the LG - 55" Class - LED - Nano 8 Series - 2160p - Smart - 4K UHD TV with HDR, Model 55SM8600PUA. Thank you

Unfortunately, this has been a recurring topic where others, including myself, have complained about the lack of an HBO viewing app with no helpful response from LG.  Several others have different ideas about why an HBO app isn't offered, but it would be nice if LG would give a response.  There are a number of other posts about this issue for which you may search and some have offered alternative methods to try and watch HBO, none of which seemed like what I wanted (I just want to fire up the app and watch HBO, just like Netflix, Amazon Prime, or Showtime).  Welcome to the unhappy customer club.

Hi everyone, I have a recent problem with my lg smart tv web browser. TV's model is 50UH635V and I've noticed that the browser can't open certain websites showing the message "the browser is no longer supported". Is there any solution to this? Can I install a 3rd party browser to my TV, like mozilla, chrome, something like that?

My LG 49UB850V LED TV  browser is too old. The most of the pages not work any more. How to easy update just one simple browser app? For example, often browser show error during open new page. It show certificate expire problem and page not load at all.
This mean LG sell product without update at least browser certificate and now we are stuck and can not even load one page from WWW.

Shame on you LG. I will not buy any more from you.  How dificolt is to release new update to update OS certificates? Microsoft Windows did this, android did also for old phones, etc... Really, can not undestend this asian people from Korea.

It seems that the latest version of the WebOS browser on LG Smart TV's lacks the support for Javascript modules (ES6).
Can this be implemented / activated?

As above! All4 & My5 will no longer work. Also, how do you update the browser? My LG nano TV is just over 3 years old.
