Hi Team,

I have LG tv model LG 42LF6500 with Web OS version 04.06.30.

I believe this is the latest version i can have on my tv. Please advise when next further   versions will be available for my tv.

Also, Hotstar is not available on my tv. I have dropped mail to hotstar team for the same but did not hear anything.

Please assist if there is any possibility for the same.

I am facing the same issue my TV Model is LG 43LF6300,  got to know that the content store is very much updated for the most recent LG Smart TVs.  This is pathetic, got a TV for almost 60k in 2015 and now I am not even able to access entertainment app like HOTSTAR. LG team should better consider old users and optimize their platforms for making it compatible with earlier versions

Hi Govinda,

I believe your TV is running webOS 2.0, the number you have quoted is the release number, and at this time Hotstar have taken the decision not to support it.

Hi Govinda,

If you highlight 'TV Information' and press 'OK' you will find listed the webOS version which is different to the software version.  Your TV originally shipped with webOS 2, although it may have received and upgrade to webOS 3, but that is still no guarantee your model will be supported.

Hi George,

As you are a support member and all support team shoud give resolution to an issue you should mention how the user can upgrade the web os version or the firmware to install manually ,

Could you please respond with the solution ?? Or we have wasted our money buying this 42LF6500 SMART TV?

Don't tell to watch HOTSTAR I need to buy another tv.  We are now in 2020 , I think you can give a solution by now, if any workaround is available please do let us know.

@George Hofmeister

LG products are bad I will not recommend anybody to buy here onwards, in this android age they are using some age old technology that to they don't support. If you buy you ll be on your own , only God can help. Better to stay away from their products. Did a mistake buying this TV . I could have bought Sony Bravia in same price shit.

I know u all support people will not respond, so f**k you guys, this post I ll share in my social media. And insist all my followers not to buy LG products atleast they can save their money.

The international content on JioCinema and Hotstar apps are not playing. No issues with Indian content in Hindi or other regional languages. But English, Korean, and Japanese content are not playing. Specifically, I want to play Disney content on Hotstar and HBO content on JioCinema App.
I tried resetting all configurations and reinstalling the applications and re-logging into the apps. Still, the issue persists. I tried switching off the TV and tried pressing the power button for complete discharge and rebooting my router, but the same issue persists.
**I found a workaround though, changing the wifi network or using a mobile hotspot on TV and then all content plays well even if I revert to my primary Airtel wifi, It still plays. but the next day the same issue continues.
It's an overhead to switch the wifi every time I want to watch Hollywood titles. Certainly, it's not the experience I want with a TV of a hefty price tag. No other devices (Mac, ios, android, windows, Android TV) have this problem. Also, it's not the wifi issue, as I can watch the same titles on other devices. The LG TV also doesn't have the capability to remember a few WiFi networks to ease this workaround of switching networks.
Alas, Nobody informed me about this issue earlier while making the purchase. Now such pricey TVs shouldn't have these issues at all. Kindly let me know If there is a permanent fix for this issue.

webOS updated, I think to 2023, on my C2 a couple of days ago. Since then the News option on the Sky News app no longer works, instead timing out. The Weather and Climate options still work, though.
I have deleted and reloaded the Sky News app, but the problem remains.
Does anybody have any suggestions of what I might try to get this working again, or is this something for LG, or Sky, to fix?

      Hey guys !!!
I have a UHD UJ634v  LG webos Tv  that lately an error message pops on the screen staying : Tv signal has been lost due to the satellite LNB short.Check LNB connection"
This is really getting on my nerves because I can't get any signal even after resetting the TV or even updating to the last  software version.
I check my cable line and fixed every possible problem. The error message keeps showing up even after disconnecting cable line from the back of TV just as if a short circuit or something has happened inside the Tv.
Do you think that'd be software or hardware failure or something else??? How to fix it?
Please help me out with this cuz all my lovely satellite TV channels are gone 😐
Here is the actual error message on the right top o the screen
      Thanks in advance !!!
