Has anyone had any luck hooking up a Bluetooth dongle to their TV and having WebOS recognize it?  I'm about to buy a replacement BT dongle from Amazon for my laptop and wanted to see if any particular make/model worked for them. Thanks!

Well, I have tried at least a dozen of them... from cheap $4 to $25 USB dongles but none was recognized by the LG WebOS.

My Magic Remote stopped working on my TV and then I tried other remote from my other LG Smart TV, realized that its not the remote but the Built in Bluetooth Receiver has conked off.

So, been trying all sorts of Bluetooth dongles including some claimed to work on LG TV, still no luck. LG Support is not much helpful either with it.

I get the same reply to change the remote...!!!

Why don't u download the LG TV Plus App or LG ThinQ App from the App Store and use your cellphone as a Remote controller. You will control the TV using Wi-Fi connection not Bluetooth

well, I appreciate your response, the idea is to use the remote control for the purpose it is provided so that anyone in the house can use it. if you try the app, you will notice the lag and repeated disconnection... it is not something that you would expect from a remote control.

So, after all there is NO More Magic with the Magic remote control...!!! Lol.

      Hello,
      I have a new C4 TV.
Here is the problem I am facing, as well as a suggestion for improvement.

When you have an acoustic deficiency, it is much easier to use a headset (via bluetooth).
But the only current option is to switch the sound to the internal speakers when you activate the bluetooth.
It is still a shame to penalize other people who watch TV by no longer allowing the use of a good sound installation that you have (sound bar, ...) because a person needs an acoustic aid.
Would it be possible to add this combination (optical output + bluetooth) to satisfy everyone?
I add that I tried to place an optical splitter to combine the 2, however, there is a bug apparently because as soon as you turn off the headset, there is a white rectangle which probably indicates an error that appears very briefly but every few seconds, which makes TV viewing impossible.
      Thanks for the follow-up

I have an LG C2 OLED TV. I have noticed that whenever I connect any player (Bluray or Set-top box) through HDMI and watch DV content with Bluetooth earbuds/headphones connected to the TV, the video's DV metadata is out of sync and causes delayed brightness change at every scene cut. In addition to that, I also see this weird outline for any moving objects in the scene as well.
This issue doesn't happen if I watch the DV content directly through the Webos player itself and I have watched a lot of stuff that way. The issue also doesn't happen if I watch standard HDR10 stuff through an HDMI player. It is only weirdly specific to the scenario where the DV content is played through an external player through HDMI and a Bluetooth audio device is connected to the TV. The issue again doesn't happen in the case of DV content playing through HDMI without any Bluetooth device connected to the TV.
It would be great if someone could confirm this is the case with their TV as well, and if anyone has any idea on why this is happening and what can be done to fix it.

I have an LG 32LJ610V TV.
I would like to connect wireless headphones to it.
I bought a Ugreen CM523 bluetooth adapter and a JBL Waveflex wireless headphones.
The adapter and the headset are connected to each other.
But on the tv i can't set it to play through the earphones.

      Hi,
I intend to buy LG TV 43UK6300Y.
So question: if this TV require the Bluetooth headphones which must support LG sound sync (wireless) function.
If yes, could you send the list of acceptable Bluetooth headphones.
      Thank you,
      Evgeny

I'm hard of hearing, and even with hearing aids I have to turn the volume so high that it deafens everyone else.
It would make my life easier if I could listen on headphones while everyone else listens to the speaker.
