Hi everyone here.

Are you trying to access the TV remotely??

Yes - via any web browser from any PC or LapTop or Tab.

Thanks for the effort.

@Will I guess you are thinking that because it is a "smart" device, and has an operating system and "apps" layered on top of that, it should behave a bit like a PC (or even a server)? That is not the case I am afraid (certainly not outside of manufacturing, and internal development tools, as far as I know). Exposing the OS and the file structure to outside influence, tools etc could do untold damage, break any inbuilt security layers, and might even make it unbootable.  Therefore the underlying WebOS is not available for external Browser or Terminal Session login in the normal way. Even if you try to compare it with a modern Router, that you CAN log into, the UI there will always be very restrictive, and only a limited subset of the command set and file structure is available (even from SSH to do CLI stuff) for similar reasons.

There IS a developer mode for authorised developers, but that is very controlled, and access is via a developer app, using an accredited account to log in on a development PC or laptop. The API's involved would (AFAIK) only communicate in a specific  way, and do not expose any internal file structures, it is just there for deploying and testing apps, and session time is limited to 50 hours.

The best you can do if you want to de-clutter your TV and remove the unwanted apps, it to see if your model supports the app deletion in the EDIT mode. Some apps might be "system" ones that might be "pinned" or bundled in, and might not have a remove option. Have a read of this Toms Guide below:

My magic remote and my Roku remote stopped working for turning off power so I performed a factory reset after troubleshooting to get the remote working.  I am now stuck at the 1st screen of the Factory Reset which says "Press the OK Button(wheel) on your remote."  Well... this really stinks because the remote doesn't work!!!  I have tried a USB mouse, a new magic remote, other LG Remotes with no luck.  I have also tried using the button on the bottom of the tv.  And, I contacted support which was just an exercise in redoing everything I had already tried... No Luck!!
This is a Nano Cell 55NANO81ANA which is basically just a big brick now since I cannot even use any of the inputs.  Does anyone have a trick for getting past this initial screen???
      Thanks for the help.

So I'm thinking about buying an oled65g46ls, however the included 'magic' remote would be useless to me, due to health issues (tremors).  So my question is, do any other LG remotes work with the G4?.

      Hey everyone,
I'm new here, so first of all, hello I'm delos.
I own two LG OLED55G19 TVs, one at home and one elsewhere. At home, I have a QNAP NAS (TS451) with DLNA functionality. Accessing it at home works great.
The "Home" and "External" networks are connected via VPN. Thus, both networks have different network addresses.
Now I want to access the home network from the external network with the LG via VPN in order to integrate the DLNA server. The LG doesn't "see" the external server because it's not in the same network. However, I wonder why you can't just enter the IP address of the server in the LG.
      Does anyone have a solution?

      Many greetings
      delos
