No sound from receiver when using LG cx apps

@Blackorchid The Integra DRX 3.3 looks nice, I am jealous! 😊 Do you have the Main/ARC HDMI (DRX Output) connected to the ARC/eARC HDMI on the TV, and Sound settings for all sound to go out via the HDMI? That way, even if the DRX is in standby, the sound SHOULD come from the TV channels AND APPS (it does on my Yamaha anyway - but I think I can turn off the standby input for TV sound, but I left it on anyway - as CEC turns my unit on anyways).

Do ALL APPS do the same, or do some work? Do all your other inputs (DVD player, set-top-boxes) work OK for sound? These should ALL go into the DRX first, unless you have technical HDMI-CEC compatibility issues.

Thanks for your promt reply👍. I do have the DRX connected properly and to the main eArc HDMI on the tv.  The Xfinity cable box works fine and we get sound from the av. no sound in any of the apps, eg You Tube, Apple TV, etc.  We don’t have a dvd hooked up.  If I turn off the receiver the sound defaults to  the tv for the apps. I have selected hdmi ARC for sound in the tv settings. Love the tv.

@Blackorchid From what I read on a couple of forums, there is a BIG issues on the industry generally, with ARC/eARC implementations (as the standard is fluid, and keeps changing). Some LG firmware updates fix some things, and break others, notably ARC stuff. LG local countries are aware of some problems, but LG Korea are ignoring pleas.

I spotted this workaround for certain LG models, try it on your TV if it has these settings:

" GO TO LG MENU AND GO TO PICTURE, NOW GO TO ADDITIONAL ,AND HIGHLIGHT DEEP COLOUR AND THEN TOGGLE THE DEEP COLOUR ON DOT TO OFF . Wait a second and your AUDIO WILL COME BACK!"

I noticed that in desperation, some users have resorted to connecting the TV via an optical TOSLINK cable to get around this, which is ridiculous IMHO.

      I've just purchased an OLED48 C44 LA which comes with a US 60T soundbar. I've connected the soundbar to the HDMI earc socket. Because my hearing isn't too good I'd like to also have some heaphones plugged into the 3.5mm socket so that both the hdmi earc and 3.5mm socket have sound simultaneously. I've been into accessablity menu and the listen together option doesn't appear to offer both hdmiearc and 3.5 mm simultaneously. Has anyone found a solution to this problem?
      just to be clear, There is a setting which permits TV speakers plus wired external headphones. I just haven't found a setting which allows HDMI earc soundbar plus wired headphones.

      I’d love to see a new feature in the next software update where the sound mode automatically adjusts based on the app being used. For example, when opening music apps like Apple Music or Spotify, the sound mode could switch to Music Mode, and for streaming apps like Netflix or Prime Video, it could switch to Cinema Mode.This addition would make the user experience so much smoother and more convenient!

      Hello I have a 2020 LG oled 65 inch tv and I am connected to internet via wifi. I checked connections and they are all good and working. I have standard apps that came with TV installed Netflix, Disney plus ect. And now TV is saying they both need to be updated to have access to those apps. Everytime I go to update and click on update it says the app is not installed so it won't update when I look to make sure app is installed it shows they are.
      I am confused on what's going on and how to update these apps and get access to them again. 
       
      Any help would be greatly appreciated thx

      LG TV pause live TV and record programmes using SSD drive for under £20

      Hi all, last week I got my new LG 65" C4 Oled delivered.
      I investigated using first a 32Gb memory stick for recording live programmes and pause live TV facility.
      I was able to record programmes but the Live TV would not work 🥲
      The LG usb is the slower 2.0 spec but I read that most low current SSD drives should still work fine with 2.0
      Today I received a 240Gb drive with Sata to usb 3.0 cable (3.0 is backwards compatible with 2.0).
      I can confirm that everyting works fine and for just £17.40 I now have pause live TV and loads of space for recording programmes.
      I used AliExpress and they if you buy using the "choice" option you get free 7day delivery to UK with detailed tracking 👍
