Odio headphones and LG tv ????

Question

Posted

Hi,
My daughter bought me a set of  OdioA70 headphones for Christmas.
They paired perfectly to my MacBook but I cannot get them to pair to the  LG42LF652V TV set. The TV does not recognise them.
Is this because they are just not compatible with the TV and if so can anyone recommend any headphone brands that will pair with the tv ?
Any advice much appreciated.
Thanks
Brian Lacey

@[email protected] Reset the headphones by pressing "+" "-" 2 buttons at the same time for 7 seconds, and restart the headphones by pressing the power on button.
The phones SHOULD stay in pairing mode for a minute or two, so ensure you have the TV Sound settings up to search for Bluetooth devices while this is active. After that, you will have to power them off and on again if you were slow getting into the TV Sound settings to search for devices.
Check if your Headphones user guide mentions pairing mode.

Bear in mind your TV is an older 2016 model, so this might limit the compatibility.  I have seen posts where even LG Bluetooth headphones will not pair with some models. Maybe othere on here have experience of these. I do not use them I am afraid.

Many thanks for the suggestion. Tried it but no change. I think the TV is one of those where it has to be a LG headphone set to make the connection.

Cheers

Hi @[email protected]

I think you model is from 2015 and running webOS 2.0 (unless there was an upgrade to v3) and support for Bluetooth was probably not that brilliant at the time.

There is a firmware upgrade listed from May 2020 you could look at:

Just got a new 55in C4 and a Denon DHT-S316 Soundbar. With my very old LG I like to have the TV connected to the speakers during the day and in the evenings I would switch to bluetooth headphones. I could easily turn off my headphones and switch back to the optical sound output with no issues.
However I tried this and while I connected my headphones with no issues, once I disconnected I couldn't get the sound to come back through the sound bar without having to with the TV and sound bar off which feels crazy at this point in time and the cost of the TV when my very old LG did this with now issues.

      Any suggestions much welcomed.

I have an LG 32LJ610V TV.
I would like to connect wireless headphones to it.
I bought a Ugreen CM523 bluetooth adapter and a JBL Waveflex wireless headphones.
The adapter and the headset are connected to each other.
But on the tv i can't set it to play through the earphones.

      Hi,
I intend to buy LG TV 43UK6300Y.
So question: if this TV require the Bluetooth headphones which must support LG sound sync (wireless) function.
If yes, could you send the list of acceptable Bluetooth headphones.
      Thank you,
      Evgeny

      Hi,
I have a OLED77C34LA and a pair Bose QC32 II headphones and I have trouble connecting to the tv.
First the headphones works good on my other three devices but the TV has trouble, when I manage to connect they work perfect but when I turn the off on on again the headphones will say they are connected to the TV but the TV most of the time won't give me an option to connect and I remember I got a popup asking if I wanted the use the headphones as output but only for like 3-4 times so far.
Usually I have to plug the power out of the TV for a while and remove the bluetooth device but and it doesn't always work. It's not great spending like 15min to get the headphones to work.
Any ideas what could be wrong?

Previously, my TV (LG32LM6300PLA) worked so that when I turned Power on in my headphones, I got the message Pairing followed by Connected. At the same time I got a button on the screen named Connected (so far I remember)  and when I clicked OK on it with my remote control I got rthe sound in my headphones and it disappeard in the TV-set. When I shut off the power in my headphones the sound disappears in them and is back in the TV-set.
Remaining at Settings the soundshift works, i.e. when I turn on the power on the headphones I get sound in them and when I turn the power off it disappears in them and I have it back in the TV instead. But when I leave Settings for watching TV this setting  disappears.
What am I doing wrong ?
