Earlier models capable of running webOS 6 will receive it if LG decide to spend considerable time and money on such a project.  So the simple answer is that it is unlikely to happen.

Not sure, we'll have to wait and see what LG states on this. It really depends on if the UI changes are dependent on new hardware and specs (I would assume).
