Amazon app gone

I had trouble signing in to my Amazon.com account several months ago.  But it has subsequently fixed itself -- probably with an automatic update from LG.  However now I can't log in to Ebay.  The webOS browser seems to have a lot of security-related bugs that interact in strange ways.  All we can do is hope future updates will fix present issues without creating too many new ones...

That's true, Don.  It never really did what phone, tablet, and PC "browsers" do every day.  Even secure sign-in is crippled on many sites.  And I often get the "out of date browser" message -- even on Google.

I went for many months without being able to sign-in to Amazon.com -- or even check order status.  LG finally fixed that one.  I'm hoping they will address this new Ebay problem too.  Luckily, I have other (older) devices that work fine on both services.

If you want to stream Amazon Music on your smart TV, I'd like to suggest you a better way. You can just

link hidden, please login to view
to a USB drive,  and connect the drive to your LG Smart TV, then stream the downloaded amazon songs vie the Media Player. Besides, you can also transfer them to other devices for offline listening.

Youtube only lets you type numbers, and not letters. Amazon doesn't let you type anything unless you use the really really really slow onscreen keyboard. It's ruining the tv experience. Can't search for topics or shows without the slow drugery of the slow remote and onscreen keyboard.

Is something ms configured or is WebOs really this awful?

      Hi,
I have my LG 4K Smart TV -Model : 43UJ632T.
I could not able to use the Wireless Keyboard ( Logitech K230) with Builtin Apps like Youtube, Amazon Prime or in Netflix to search. I could able to use only thru Magic Remote.
But the same Keyboard is working fine in Google Movies & SunNXT apps.
Could you please help me in fixing the same.
      Thanks,
      Sriram.

I have two LG C2 tv's both running OS 03.21.30. Attempts to update the OS state that this is the current version as of 12/2022.  Amazon Music won't open on either of them, the splash screen appears and that's it, for hours.  It opens fine on other devices in the house, Sony TV, PC's, and droid phones. Other streaming apps work fine with no buffering or glitches.
The solutions offered online list instructions for clearing app caches using a series of menus that aren't even remotely close to the menus available on these TV's.  I've checked every available menu and there's absolutely nothing offering the ability to clear app caches. App Manager offers exactly two options: Launch or Delete. Others insist that you need to clear the cache from within the app but of course the app won't open so that's a dead end.  I did clear the browser cache but it had no effect this AMZN Music problem.
      So far I've also:
Deleted and re-installed the app multiple times; Left the TV's unplugged 24+ hours; Full reboot of the router multiple times; Factory Reset of the TV's. If anyone has a solution that doesn't involve buying a fire stick I'm very interested - thanks
(edit) one of these tv's is five feet from the router.  Distance isn't the issue.

      Hi Team,
After update of LG WebOS to 04.40.70, Amazon Prime Video app on my LG Smart TV stopped working. It started giving error :
      Internet Connectivity Problem
There is an internet connection problem. Check the device's internet settings, data cables, or try to resetting your router. Also, turning your device off, and then back on might fix the problem. For further assistance, please contact Amazon customer service at www.amazon.com/videohelp
The internet/wifi connection is fine and all the other apps are working without any issue on the LG smart TV.
I have even tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Prime video app, but that didn't help.
Has anyone faced this issue ? Is there a solution available for this issue.
      Thanks & Regards,
      Nitin

With the Amazon Music app, LG smart TV owners who also happen to be Prime members can finally access two million songs on their TVs. But there is a more convenient approach for you to play Amazon Music on LG smart TV. With an link hidden, please login to view or Mac, you are able to and them play them directly on your smart TV without the Amazon Music app. And you don't worry that your smart TV is not compatible with LG smart TV.
