Update 06.00.25 error

HvH

Question

After updating my LG 60SJ850V to version 06.00.25 software everything went wrong...

Connected via ethernet cable and youtube has buffering issues. Get stuck for few seconds and then sped thtough for few.  Has good fibre connection and never had this issue.

Also when watching from external hard drive, the video's get stuck and giving issues where there never were any problems.

Can't connect TV to wifi anymore.

Message toggles between LAN cable disconnected followed by  LAN ethernet connected the whole time.

Smart remote has connection issues.

This is extremely annoying. How can I get these issues fixed? Tried all the fixes that I could find for previous software update problems, but nothing works.

Hi, I have the exact same issues with Youtube and the magic remote since the update to version 06.00.25 on my LG 49SJ8109.

I guess only a downgrade to the firmware 06.00.20 would solve the problem but I cannot find any download link for the firmware version.

Did you already contact the LG support?

Hi Mike.  The LG technician came out and to his opinion it was a certain part that needs to be replaced.

Actually he came today😀 and replaced the FFC cable - a 5 minute job.  Since replacement, I could pair my remote successfully and link the TV to Wifi again. No annoying toggle messages at top of screen also.  I am streaming Netflix and YouTube to see about the buffering issue, and so far there is no issue. Although a bit soon to tell for sure, but it seems to have fixed my problems. The TV is a 2017 model.  Maybe you should consider doing the same.

Up until a few days ago my TV and AVR have been working perfectly since I bought it.
Zero hassles with HDMI and connectivity.
Then I was prompted to update to the latest software version which I did and now often when I switch HDMI (running on 1) it picks up the device name, CEC works but I get “No Signal”… and then nothing.
Just stays on “No Signal”. It is almost as if some HDMI handshake breaks and now the driver is in a broken state.
I’ve found that if I hard power off and power on the device sometimes works but I don’t want to do that every time especially since it’s hard to get to the power.
This really strikes me as a software issue with the latest update as absolutely nothing else has changed in my setup.
      I’ve tried:
Different HDMI cables (high quality) Deep colour settings Reset the TV to factory default Different HDMI ports TV
      Model: OLED65G26LA / OLED65G26LA.HFBQLWK WebOS TV Version: 8.3.0.2301 Software Version: 13.30.56 AVR & Devices
Marantz SR5015 Nvidia Shield Pro PS5
The setup is the conventional AVR installation as shown in the attached file

      Has anyone else experienced this?
Is it possible to revert the software update?

I received an update 05.40.45 for my LG 65UM7510PLA TV a few days ago. After I tried to edit the channel list with the ChanSort programme, I noticed that the channel list transferred from the TV to USB was greatly reduced.
This was not a problem with the previous version 05.40.20. Unfortunately, it is not possible to upload the old version via USB.

As above! All4 & My5 will no longer work. Also, how do you update the browser? My LG nano TV is just over 3 years old.

I would like to update the OS on a relatively old TV (manufactured in 2015). So there are questions: how to find your version, where to download a new one and check its compatibility with my TV?

On LG OLEDs. You go on and disable SIMPLINK. Fine. But everytime you turn on your HDMI device it enables itself back again. This happens because they have disables two key features that were present in previous OSs, as you can see clearly here
link hidden, please login to view (they even put screencaps of the menus where you see the missing options in the 23) These functions are Auto Power Sync and Auto Device Detection.
Man updates are supposed to add functionalities not the other way around. It's very annoying to turn on your TV and have your AVR turn on without you wanting to.

Anyone found a solution for this problem?
