SEOUL, Dec. 22, 2021 — Designed to meet the needs of professional users world-over, LG’s newest premium monitors for 2022 will make their debut at CES 2022 at LG’s virtual press conference on January 4. Both the LG UltraFine™ Display (model 32UQ85R) and LG DualUp Monitor (model 28MQ780) offer sleek and practical designs, enhanced connectivity and superior user experience for both home and office workers, including creative professionals and programmers. With peerless picture quality, powerful performance, customizability and convenience, it is no surprise that these solutions both took home CES 2022 Innovation Awards.

When Only A Professional Will Do

The new LG UltraFine Display is a professional-quality monitor designed with the needs of art directors, graphic designers, photo/video editors and live streamers in mind. Its 32-inch 4K UHD (3,840 x 2,160) resolution Nano IPS Black panel boasts 2,000:1 contrast ratio and 98 percent coverage of the DCI-P3 color gamut, ensuring deep blacks and vibrant colors that remain true across a wide viewing angle in various ambient conditions. LG’s first Nano IPS Black panel empowers the LG UltraFine Display to deliver realistic and nuanced black tones, adding more depth to images and allowing creators to realize their visions with advanced precision.

To maintain the level of color accuracy required by today’s creatives, the LG UltraFine Display comes with a detachable auto self-calibration sensor. Calibration can be easily scheduled via LG’s intuitive software, saving users time by performing this critical calibration automatically.

Two is Always Better Than One

A multitasking powerhouse ideal for all kinds of tasks such as content creation and coding, LG DualUp Monitor features a Nano IPS display with a unique 16:18 aspect ratio – a completely new format in the monitor market. The innovative Square Double QHD (2,560 x 2,880) resolution monitor offers the same screen real estate as two 21.5-inch displays and has a vertical split view function that lets users see more in one glance. Boosting productivity and convenience, the LG 28MQ780 elevates user comfort with the ultra-adjustable LG Ergo stand which saves space as it clamps securely to most desks and tables. And the double height screen of LG DualUp Monitor reduces side-to-side head movements, the main cause of neck pain.

“LG’s premium monitors for 2022 deliver the picture quality, features and usability that can satisfy the needs of both professional and home users,” said Seo Young-jae, senior vice president and head of the IT business unit of LG Electronics Business Solutions Company. “These CES Innovation Award winning-products are examples of our commitment to explore new form factors and functionalities to expand and strengthen our flagship monitor lineup.”

Recent trends show that a lot of people prefer companies that take social and environmental responsibility seriously,2 and this holds true whether they’re working for them, or simply buying their products. This trend underscores the importance of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) principles, driving businesses worldwide to adopt more eco-friendly technologies, build low-impact facilities and design greener office spaces that are better for their employees and the planet.
Creating a more environmentally friendly office can involve a variety of measures, from using sustainable materials and installing solar panels to integrating low-carbon features. One of the simplest and fastest ways, however, is upgrading to energy-efficient IT equipment. Among the essential tools in a modern office, computer monitors stand out due to their constant use and significant influence on workplace productivity. Opting for energy-efficient monitors can significantly reduce an office’s overall energy footprint.
For businesses seeking a greener office setup, LG’s latest lineup of business monitors is an excellent choice. Featuring 20 newly launched B2B models, LG showcases its commitment to responsible product design and concern for the wellbeing of users and the environment. This isn’t just empty “marketing talk” – it’s backed by certifications from globally recognized energy and environmental standards. For example, the 27BA560 and 24BA560 models have earned the sought-after EPEAT Gold rating, while many others in the lineup boast EPEAT Silver or Bronze ratings.3 The majority of LG’s new business monitors are TCO Certified, indicating they are both energy efficient and ergonomically designed. Additionally, every model in the lineup is ENERGY STAR-certified. Beyond certifications, LG plans to calculate, manage and report on the greenhouse gas emissions associated with the lifecycle of its new monitor products.

Designed to meet the diverse needs of professional environments, the expansive lineup offers a variety of aspect ratios (16:9 and 21:9) and screen resolutions (from Full HD to QHD) to choose from. With various ports, including USB-C, and built-in speakers and webcams,4 LG’s business monitors enable seamless video conferencing and enhanced multitasking, allowing users to charge their devices and efficiently manage their work at the same time.
With the introduction of its business monitor lineup, LG is not only supporting global businesses in their ESG efforts, but also reinforcing its own commitment to ESG-driven management and sustainable product design. Well known for its premium consumer monitors, LG is now expanding into the B2B sector with monitors tailored to the needs of diverse professional environments, from corporate and government to education, healthcare and the creative industries. The impressive lineup presents customers with a wealth of choices, including a variety of different aspect ratios and screen resolutions ranging from QHD to Full HD.

Ideal for customer-facing settings, such as government service centers, airports and hotel lobbies, LG’s QHD monitors feature ergonomic designs with height-, swivel-, and tilt-adjustable stands that help deliver customized comfort for each user. This flexibility offers numerous possibilities for monitor-position adjustment. For example, the screen can be significantly lowered to enable direct eye contact and better communication between staff and customers. Furthermore, the inclusion of Reader Mode helps to lessen eye fatigue when reading documents, making the new monitors more comfortable to use for extended periods. The monitors also help safeguard users’ eye comfort with Flicker Safe Mode, which minimizes the occurrence of screen flickering.
The company’s QHD lineup includes two 27-inch, high-resolution variants (models 27BA75QB and 27BA65QB), each fitted with a premium IPS display that provides exceptional clarity, a wide viewing angle, 99 percent coverage of the sRGB color gamut and support for SDR and HDR modes. Along with precise color reproduction, both of the new QHD models boast a 100Hz refresh rate that results in smooth visuals and a pleasant user experience. To ensure compatibility with the widest possible range of digital devices and peripherals, LG’s QHD monitors incorporate multiple connectivity options, such as USB-C and HDMI.
Full HD Monitors: Enhancing User Convenience
LG’s Full HD Monitors are well suited to roles that require users to work with data or content from multiple external devices, offering USB Type-C and other types of USB ports. Available in 27- and 23.8-inches, LG’s business monitors with Full HD (1,920 x 1,080) resolution IPS panels (models 27BA850 and 24BA850) come with built-in speakers and webcams for convenient video conferencing. LG UltraWide Monitor (model 34BA85QE)1
Note: This article is for informational purposes only and does not provide medical advice. It is not intended to replace a professional medical diagnosis or treat any medical condition.
As time spent in front of PCs and monitors increases, so too do health concerns stemming from poor ergonomic settings, such as eye strain, wrist pain, headaches, sore neck and more. A
link hidden, please login to view indicates that up to 63 percent of office employees experience neck pain,2 inhibiting them from achieving peak performance and remaining motivated throughout the work day. To address these challenges, workers using monitors for extended periods should adopt preventive measures to safeguard their health. Here are some health-conscious practices to keep in mind during prolonged use.
      1. Position the Monitor at Eye Level
LG QHD Monitor (model 27BQ75QC)1, 3
To prevent issues such as sore necks and headaches, it is essential to align the monitor to eye level. Traditional monitors typically require employees to adapt to a fixed workstation environment, but with adjustable stands, users can modify the screen’s height and angle, promoting a neutral posture and reducing pain during long work hours. Monitors with ergonomic stands – such as LG business monitors – present built-in adjustable functions like tilt, swivel and 90-degree rotation for a more flexible and comfortable work environment.3
      2. Maintain Optimal Viewing Distance
      LG UltraWide Monitor (model 34BA85QE)1
Limited desktop space often constrains employees to sit in a position too close to the monitor, resulting in eye strain and neck fatigue. To help maintain an optimal viewing distance – typically an arm’s length – LG business monitors feature a slim stand and integrated power module. This streamlined design saves space, keeping workstations more organized and supporting better ergonomic practices.
      3. Adjust Screen Settings

      LG UltraWide Monitor (model 34BA85QE)1
To protect eye health, adjustable monitor settings and specifically designed modes are available for individuals who use screens extensively. For instance, Reader Mode on LG business monitors alters the screen’s color temperature to reduce blue light, enhancing legibility to reduce eye strain for comfort and relief during prolonged periods of screen time.
      4. Utilizing Ergonomic Monitors

      LG FHD Monitor (model 27BA560)1
For environments lacking ergonomic equipment, intuitively designed office monitors can significantly enhance physical well-being and productivity. Following this trend, LG is adding the new ergonomic business monitor to its product lineup, catering to individual preferences with a wide range of aspect ratios and resolutions, from UltraWide to UHD, QHD and FHD.
The new lineup of LG business monitors effectively enhances the in-office experience with a clean design and ergonomic setup, boosting productivity and elevating comfort for employees to truly enjoy working in an engaging and health-conscious environment.

Milan Design Week, also known as Salone del Mobile, is the world’s preeminent furniture and design fair. Held in Italy’s famous fashion capital, it is a truly global showcase of innovation, creativity and luxurious style. Amidst this year’s celebration of inspiring and aspirational home living, LG presented its latest premium built-in products, including collaborations with renowned designers, at the Signature Kitchen Suite Showroom on Milan’s Piazza Cavour.

Open since 2020, the showroom artfully exhibits the sleek offerings of the Signature Kitchen Suite while introducing visitors to the brand’s True to Food philosophy. This stylish space, where tradition meets innovation, spans three levels – ground floor, basement and mezzanine – each featuring stellar Signature Kitchen Suite built-ins designed and made to the most exacting standards. The advanced appliances on display are complemented by a nature-inspired décor designed by Calvi Brambilla, an esteemed multidisciplinary design studio based in Milan.

One of the showroom’s special zones cleverly evokes the natural beauty of Italy through the use of Milano Pink, a warm, soothing color inspired by the pink hues that adorn the Alps when viewed from Milan at sunset. Visitors can experience the unique value of Signature Kitchen Suite and LG home appliances firsthand by exploring the showroom’s Food Academy and simulated domestic spaces, which include a kitchen, living room, bedroom and laundry room.

Structured around the theme of the Art of Precision, the showroom compellingly conveys the Signature Kitchen Suite design philosophy through a hand-picked selection of artworks and engaging experiential programs. Visitors can discover different examples of the ‘art of precision’ via the exhibit’s Master Craftsmen encounters, where a flavorist, a watchmaker, a baker and a glazier each demonstrate the level of care and skill that LG’s premium built-in brand has come to represent.

A delightful display of delicate origami decorations, which greets guests as they enter the showroom’s reception area, serves as another symbolic tie to the craftsman-like quality of Signature Kitchen Suite appliances. The origami pieces are accompanied by dozens of bottles containing artisanal vanilla essence, each with its own unique aroma.

Coinciding with Milan Design Week, LG showcased a variety of stunning appliances brought to life through its collaborations with high-end furniture brands and design groups. This year, acclaimed furniture designer and architect Patricia Urquiola, known around the world for iconic designs such as the Dudet Chair and Sengu Table, partnered with LG to create a new masterpiece for Signature Kitchen Suite. Visitors to the Signature Kitchen Suite Showroom have the privilege of seeing Urquiola and LG’s ultra-chic undercounter modular refrigerator in person.

A seamless fit for both kitchens and living rooms, Urquiola’s unerringly elegant creation aligns with the popular home and interior design trend of blurring the boundaries between living spaces. Resembling a sophisticated cabinet or set of drawers, the refrigerator offers custom size and color choices to suit the specific needs and preferences of each customer. Its upper compartment can be used for the efficient storage of bottled water, beer, wine (or other beverages) and even cosmetics, while its lower compartment functions as a convenient freezer.

Another aesthetically-unimpeachable appliance that debuted during Salone del Mobile was the Signature Kitchen Suite Wine Cabin. A collaboration between LG and m2atlier, a Milan-based architectural design group, this remarkable piece provides temperature-controlled wine storage in its lower compartment, storage space for wine glasses and bottles in its upper compartment, and a beautiful cigar box in between.

The Wine Cabin’s central rotating base supports a structure that can be customized with different finishes. Encased in micro-ribbed glass, the effortlessly luxe m2atlier design was conceived as a “precious container” for the Signature Kitchen Suite under-shelf wine cellar.

From creative collaborations with leading designers to carefully curated exhibits, the Signature Kitchen Suite Showroom in Milan celebrates the essence of design, technology and luxury living.
