We need another Browser

Question

Posted

I have a 65" nano-cell SmartTV with webOS, but the browser is horrible, it restarts very frequently, due to lack of memory, especially when I consult Google maps. Is there any way to solve it? Is there any other browser? Because I can't find any in the store and this one is so bad that you can't create folders for favorites, nor does it have a favorites bar. Would there be any solution to the memory, through an extension? Thanks.

Hello Frank5555

As for your question there isn't another browser in the LG Content store. The only browser is the one that comes with the TV. I also think that you shouldn't use the TV for Google Maps or online games as its not made for that purpose. If your TV also crashes on other apps then you should consider upgrading.

Hope that answers your question :)

My WebOS browser always crashes if I go onto the BBC news website. It is the only site I have this problem with. I've tried the usual solutions, clearing the history/cache/cookies and I don't think it is memory as I have no other problems. Ever so grateful for any suggestions. TIA.

Hi everyone, I have a recent problem with my lg smart tv web browser. TV's model is 50UH635V and I've noticed that the browser can't open certain websites showing the message "the browser is no longer supported". Is there any solution to this? Can I install a 3rd party browser to my TV, like mozilla, chrome, something like that?
