ThinQ won't link to Google Home app

I want to control my C1 with my Google Home speakers, but my Android LG ThinQ app is not sending the correct info to my Android Google Home app to link the ThinQ service.  

When I try, the error message says "No devices were found in your LG ThinQ account".  However, the ThinQ app is signed into my account and successfully controlling my C1.

Google Home support and I think the issue is with the ThinQ app.

says this should work.  My LG support agent told me it's not supported; I'm guessing she was new.

Hi there. I had the same problem since last year. I somehow just resolved this problem now. I searched everywhere before on the internet and never found a solution. 

If you're still having this issue that you cannot link the LG ThinQ App to Google Home App or Google Nest Mini Smart Speaker and that your LG Smart TV is already linked to your LG ThinQ App and you can control it without a problem. Then 1st make sure your Google Assistant is setup on your TV and your LG Account is signed in on your TV. After that try these steps:

1- Turn on your TV and press the home button on your TV remote control. 

2- Open LG ThinQ App and click on your TV tile.

3- Click the 3 dots in the top right corner and choose LG ThinQ TV Settings at the bottom of your phone's screen.

4- Tap on Location and assign your TV to a Room then tap save.

5- You'll be back automatically to the settings screen then right under Location tap Sign in to TV with your account, then you should see a confirmation on your TV and phones screen  that you're logged in.

6- Back to LG ThinQ App settings as before and tap Set to use smart speaker if you have google home or google nest mini to control your TV with voice and then follow the setup steps on your phones screen.

7- Open Google Home App and tap the + sign on the top left corner and tap Set up device or whatever its shown to you, depending on your App version the UI might be different. 

8- Tap Devices compatible with Google and search for LG ThinQ App and select it and follow the steps. 

9- After that you won't see that error again and your LG ThinQ App will be successfully linked to your Google Home App. Go back to Google Home App and there you should see a tile named TV. 

10- Open LG ThinQ App>tap the 3 burger lines on left top corner> Settings gear>Tap Voice Assistant>Google Assistant then follow the steps.

11- Hopefully DONE ✅.

PS: if this didn't work you have to unlink LG ThinQ App from your Google account. To do so:

1- Open this website and login with your google account that you're using for Google Home App:

 https://myaccount.google.com/accountlinking

2- Unlink LG ThinQ App.

3- Repeat the steps all above.

      All of a sudden, the row of inputs showed up at the bottom of the home screen on my C1. I’ve tried every setting but can’t seem to get rid of them. I used to just call them up as needed (input button on remote) but now they’re there permanently. Any ideas?

      Is there anyone experiencing the failure to connect your desktop PC using the Google Chrome remote desktop application in the webOS? This just happened after I installed a recent webOS update.

      LG’s new ThinQ smart fridge with webOS

      Samsung has made fridges with touchscreens before. LG has made fridges with doors that turn transparent to show you the inside. This year at CES 2018, those two ideas are finally merging into one with LG’s new InstaView ThinQ smart refrigerator, which features a 29-inch touchscreen that becomes transparent if users knock on it twice.
      LG actually tried this two years ago, with a version called the Smart InstaView Door-in-Door that ran a full version of Windows 10, but it’s not clear that the company ever shipped the Windows version.
      This version uses the touchscreen to manage your food using LG’s webOS software and Amazon’s Alexa, which will let you tag food with virtual stickers and expiration dates and get automatic reminders when things are running low or about to go bad. There’s also a wide-angle panoramic camera on the inside of the fridge that will let you remotely view your fridge while you’re out and about to check and see if you’re actually out of milk or not.

      Unfortunately, the only image that LG has shared showing the fridge is a low-resolution shot on its YouTube page banner, but it seems that you’ll be able to still use the screen while it’s translucent, allowing you to tag food directly in a vaguely augmented reality-esque move.
      LG is also touting how all of its ThinQ kitchen gadgets can talk to each other to make kitchen tasks easier. So your ThinQ fridge can talk to your EasyClean oven, which will help you cook food through step-by-step instructions from the recipe app from your fridge. Then, your EasyClean oven can notify your QuadWash dishwasher about the kind of meal you cooked, so it can more efficiently select a wash cycle for that dish. Of course, all this requires spending thousands of dollars replacing every appliance in your kitchen (and if this all works as well as LG claims it does), but it’s still an intriguing vision of a Jetsons-like future utopia.
      No price or release date for the InstaView ThinQ refrigerator or any of LG’s other new appliances have yet been announced.

      I wondering if any help can be provided as I just purchased the LG C4 TV but having trouble getting any sound from my SC-HT500 Panasonic Theater Surround sound system having tried connecting to all four ports. I managed to connect to the universal remote via management of setting where the theater system powers up in which it's getting recognized but not getting and sound with no signal.
       
      Please see screen shots along with manual of the surround sound system 
      Is there anything I'm missing in the set-up that I should try?
