How to close apps in the background

I have recently purchased a qned 99 and I can’t see how to close apps running in the back ground like I was able to do with other lg TVs I have.

The tv is running the latest version webos and obviously tried YouTube for the answer which only seems to say holding down the home button but all this seems to do is open the last app I was using.

any ideas gratefully received.

If you restore the "old style" of the home, everything will return as before and by holding down the "home" button for a long time you will be able to close the apps that are still open in the background. To return to the "old style" home go to "settings", "all settings", "general", "additional settings", "home settings", "home style", "home basic".

      Apps won't update

      Hello I have a 2020 LG oled 65 inch tv and I am connected to internet via wifi. I checked connections and they are all good and working. I have standard apps that came with TV installed Netflix, Disney plus ect. And now TV is saying they both need to be updated to have access to those apps. Everytime I go to update and click on update it says the app is not installed so it won't update when I look to make sure app is installed it shows they are.
      I am confused on what's going on and how to update these apps and get access to them again. 
       
      Any help would be greatly appreciated thx
