SEOUL, Aug. 29, 2022 — LG Electronics (LG) is showcasing the incredible image quality of the company’s OLED TVs and exciting, new possibilities for artistic expression as the LG OLED ART project comes to Frieze Seoul (September 2-5). Since establishing the LG OLED ART project, LG has created an unprecedented synergy with many artists worldwide, building a new trend in the art and technology world and the company’s OLED TVs have been the perfect digital canvases for memorable art world collaborations.

As part of the LG OLED ART project, the OLED ART World Tour, which has visited various regions including New York, London, Venice and Basel, continues its inspiring, international voyage of innovation and creativity at Frieze Seoul.

LG’s OLED TVs have featured in the work of several high-profile artists and have been exhibited at top galleries and renowned art events worldwide. The next stop on the OLED ART World Tour will be Frieze Seoul, which will mark the first time Frieze has taken place in Asia – and the second time LG has collaborated with the esteemed British-Indian artist, Anish Kapoor.

As it was during Art Basel 2022 in June, Kapoor’s experiential digital art will be showcased on the stunning LG SIGNATURE OLED R at Frieze Seoul. Kapoor’s mesmerizing digital works – which feature three-dimensional, abstract shapes with slowly shifting and gorgeously saturated colors – harmonize perfectly with the immaculate picture quality of LG OLED and the unique form factor of the company’s one-and-only rollable TV; delivering something extraordinary for art-lovers to enjoy in the South Korean capital.

And, as part of the ongoing LG-Kapoor collaboration, the LG SIGNATURE OLED R Anish Kapoor Edition will also be on display during Frieze. The exclusive, special-edition model includes Kapoor’s media artwork and comes with a numbered certificate and the artist’s signature.

LG has also teamed up with prominent American sculptor, Barry X Ball, who will be showing his first-ever NFT artwork at the event. Known for producing eye-catching sculptures that merge the contemporary and the classical, Ball has transformed some of his physical creations into 3D digital images complete with incredible detail and ‘surfaces’ one can almost feel.

Visitors to Frieze Seoul can admire the artist’s sculptural NFT artworks on LG’s state-of-the-art OLED evo TVs, which accurately reproduce the textures and colors of the materials – including precious metals and gemstones – used in Ball’s original sculptures. Offering higher brightness, clarity and detail, LG OLED evo delivers exceptionally lifelike images that practically jump off the screen.

Among the company’s advanced TVs displaying artwork at Frieze Seoul are the elegant LG OLED Objet Collection Easel and LG OLED Objet Collection Posé. The two aesthetically-pleasing models form part of LG’s latest innovative lifestyle OLED TV lineup. Perfect for complementing – and displaying – works of art, the Easel and Posé look right at home in the most sophisticated galleries and art museums.

LG continues to offer enriching art experiences all around the globe, hosting exclusive exhibitions and events that make clear the intrinsic link and undeniable harmony between art and technology. Its OLED ART project continues to produce memorable artist collaborations that are helping to expand the definition of art while also providing inspiring, new customer experiences. At Frieze Seoul, LG will once again honor its commitment to elevating art and lifestyles through the self-lit picture quality of its peerless OLED TVs. Every digital artwork brought to life by LG OLED will be uploaded to the project

A Trusted Supplier of Vehicle Solutions, Company Earns
Security Certification for Its Transceiver Module for Volkswagen

SEOUL, Aug. 26, 2024 — LG Electronics’ (LG) Vehicle to Everything (V2X) solution for Volkswagen has received the world’s first Common Criteria (CC) certification for security stability in the V2X device category. The certification reinforces LG’s leading position in the global automotive components market and highlights its advanced capabilities in vehicle cybersecurity, an area that continues to grow in importance in the connected car era.
The recipient of the new CC certification, LG’s VW Transceiver Module, is a telematics component designed exclusively for Volkswagen’s internal combustion engine-specific MQB platform. An internationally recognized standard for IT product security, CC certification indicates that a device provides comprehensive protection against unauthorized access or interference. The module has also met the stringent security standards set by Spain’s National Cryptologic Centre (CCN), earning an Evaluation Assurance Level (EAL) 2+ rating.
V2X technology allows vehicles to communicate with systems, devices and technologies in the surrounding area, including other vehicles (V2V), traffic infrastructure (V2I) and, via smartphones, pedestrians (V2P). Without robust security, V2X devices and networks could be compromised by hackers, potentially leading to traffic congestion, accidents or data breaches. LG is proactive in addressing V2X security threats, ensuring that its advanced telematics components comply with Europe’s increasingly strict security regulations, thereby providing peace of mind to drivers and passengers.
LG is committed to meeting the highest standards for vehicle security, and will continue to provide competitive auto solutions that prioritize safety and reliability. After earning CC certification for its transceiver module for Volkswagen’s MQB platform, LG plans to achieve the same for its V2X solution intended for Volkswagen’s MEB electric vehicle platform within the year.
In addition to obtaining security certifications for its V2X solutions, LG is enhancing security across all areas of its automotive electronics business. In 2022, LG Vehicle component Solutions (VS) Company received the Trusted Information Security Assessment Exchange (TISAX) certification and, last February, gained Cyber Security Management System (CSMS) certification from TÜV Rheinland.
“By earning CC certification for the security of our V2X solution for Volkswagen, we have effectively demonstrated our superior component technology and security capabilities, both of which are key elements for success in the future mobility sector,” said Eun Seok-hyun, president of LG Vehicle component Solutions Company. “LG will continue to solidify its position in the global automotive parts market, delivering innovative, secure solutions that ensure safer roads for all.”

      Specs: LG OLED 55C3
      Router speed: 250mbps
      System: webOS 2.3
I have an issue with the connection when testing the speed via the web browser in webOS. Both Ethernet and Wi-Fi connections (I also used 5 GHz) have very low speed: 17 Mbps. I tried changing to use USB to LAN (USB 2.0) to at least reach 100 Mbps, but it doesn't seem to be working.
Any ideas on how to fix it?

For the seventh consecutive year, LG served as the exclusive technology partner of CASACOR SP, the Americas’ leading cultural platform for architecture, landscaping, art and interior design. The 37th edition of CASACOR was held in São Paulo, where LG showcased an impressive array of 180 products across 45 inspiring spaces. Reaching record attendance with an estimated 128,000 visitors, CASCOR 2024 was hosted in one of the most important architectural landmarks in the city. Designed 63 years ago by architect David Libeskind, the venue features more than 10,000 square meters of built area.

To mark the occasion, over 80 journalists and influencers were invited to Casa Ñe’é LG, the company’s launch event house, which featured the most innovative creations in the market today. Designed by respected architect Nildo José, the 377-square-meter brand space offered a profound reflection on what makes us human. The Né’é in Casa Ñe’é LG is Guarani – a language of the indigenous group of South America (Brazil, Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay and Bolivia) – meaning “soul,” representing the vital spirit that sustains life and the essence of everything.

The hall’s welcoming atmosphere came in large part from the company’s stylish ARTCOOL Gallery air conditioner and expansive screen, which is comprised of four Transparent OLED displays that leverage several million self-illuminating pixels to illustrate the project’s story in unprecedented detail.

The living room featured LG OLED M3, the world’s first-ever wireless TV. This stunning 97-inch TV comes with the Zero Connect Box, which wirelessly transmits video and audio signals at 4K 120Hz via a fast Wi-Fi connection. The M3 also boasts LG’s One Wall Design, allowing it to mount flush to the wall for a heightened sense of sophistication.

Also on display was the newest LG OLED evo C4, equipped with the AI α9 Gen 7 that significantly enhances performance. In line with LG’s renowned lineup of OLED TVs, this model also features the ultra-slim One Wall Design for a minimalist look and feel.

Casa Ñe’é LG was fully equipped with all the essential appliances: LG InstaView Side by Side smart refrigerator with Craft Ice, LG NeoChef microwave with exclusive Scan to Cook feature, LG Studio electric oven and the InstaView stove.

Top architect Leticia Nannetti was tasked with designing the laundry room with functionality at its core. She delivered this by beautifully integrating the LG WashTower, a premium appliance that fosters moments of interaction, into the interior design to harmonize with the ambiance, evoke sentimental memories and celebrate diversity.

In Isabela Akkari’s healthy café, Flávia Burin and Bruna Monetti of Studio HA sought to answer the question: ‘What ancestors do we want to be?’ With this reflection, the exceptionally talented architects created a space that values beauty and offers hope, using warm shades of pink, fluid forms, fabric ceilings and settings that encourage closeness between people.
Led by chef Isabela Akkari, the cafe not only promoted healthy eating but also featured all of LG’s cutting-edge technology. This includes the Smart LG Inverter Inverse Refrigerator, one of the most economical inverse refrigerators on the market; the LG Grill NeoChef microwave, the only microwave with connectivity; and the LG InstaView Stove, which lights up the interior with just two touches.

Open to visitors until July 28 at São Paulo’s Conjunto Nacional, Casa Ñe’é LG was a great demonstration of how LG’s innovative products can be incorporated into beautiful spaces, providing technological solutions that make daily life simpler and even more efficient.

Home is where the heart is, and it’s also often the best place to start when you’re seeking to make a positive difference in the world. A prime example is the ‘home electrification’ trend, which, in a nutshell, helps drive sustainability by replacing fossil fuel-powered household appliances with cleaner and more efficient electricity-driven ones.

Home electrification includes the installation of electric appliances and heating and cooling systems, such as heat pumps, which transfer heat from one place to another by circulating refrigerant. Heat pumps provide the practical benefits of year-round indoor comfort and lower utility bills. When integrated with solar panels and battery storage systems, they take things a step further – empowering homeowners with energy independence and the ability to power their homes during outages.

According to a study published in the peer-reviewed scientific journal Joule, electrification could reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in the residential sector by 36 to 64 percent and cut overall GHG emissions in the U.S. by 5 to 9 percent.1 To accelerate the transition to electrification, many governments are now offering incentives and subsidies, such as those included in the U.S. government’s Inflation Reduction Act, to encourage the adoption of energy-efficient home technologies.2
Electrifying your home with LG brings the compelling advantages of the company’s industry-leading core-tech and extensive lineup of sophisticated, energy-efficient products. LG’s innovative core components, including reliable, high-efficiency motors, ensure unparalleled performance and energy-savings across a variety of home appliances.

The company also provides the seamless connectivity and easy energy management with ThinQ Energy, compatible with a comprehensive range of LG appliances and HVAC systems. The LG Home Energy Platform, centering on the Energy Storage System (ESS), optimizes energy usage to prevent waste and emissions, and enables smart control of connected home appliances.

Many of LG’s products, which help reduce carbon emissions and enhance energy efficiency, are eligible for rebates. From ENERGY STAR® certified induction cooktops to low energy-consumption, low-emissions HVAC systems, LG offers a diverse array of cutting-edge solutions that can drastically decrease household reliance on fossil fuels and boost efficiency at the same time. Among these are water heaters equipped with heat pumps, and innovative laundry solutions like the impressive WashCombo washer-dryer with Inverter HeatPump.
Embracing home electrification is an investment in a cleaner, healthier future. With LG’s energy-efficient appliances and core technologies, you can transform your living space into an all-electric abode – shrinking your energy footprint, minimizing your environmental impact and making a positive difference in the world.

Up until a few days ago my TV and AVR have been working perfectly since I bought it.
Zero hassles with HDMI and connectivity.
Then I was prompted to update to the latest software version which I did and now often when I switch HDMI (running on 1) it picks up the device name, CEC works but I get “No Signal”… and then nothing.
Just stays on “No Signal”. It is almost as if some HDMI handshake breaks and now the driver is in a broken state.
I’ve found that if I hard power off and power on the device sometimes works but I don’t want to do that every time especially since it’s hard to get to the power.
This really strikes me as a software issue with the latest update as absolutely nothing else has changed in my setup.
      I’ve tried:
Different HDMI cables (high quality) Deep colour settings Reset the TV to factory default Different HDMI ports TV
      Model: OLED65G26LA / OLED65G26LA.HFBQLWK WebOS TV Version: 8.3.0.2301 Software Version: 13.30.56 AVR & Devices
Marantz SR5015 Nvidia Shield Pro PS5
The setup is the conventional AVR installation as shown in the attached file

      Has anyone else experienced this?
Is it possible to revert the software update?
