The international content on JioCinema and Hotstar apps are not playing. No issues with Indian content in Hindi or other regional languages. But English, Korean, and Japanese content are not playing. Specifically, I want to play Disney content on Hotstar and HBO content on JioCinema App.
I tried resetting all configurations and reinstalling the applications and re-logging into the apps. Still, the issue persists. I tried switching off the TV and tried pressing the power button for complete discharge and rebooting my router, but the same issue persists.
**I found a workaround though, changing the wifi network or using a mobile hotspot on TV and then all content plays well even if I revert to my primary Airtel wifi, It still plays. but the next day the same issue continues.
It's an overhead to switch the wifi every time I want to watch Hollywood titles. Certainly, it's not the experience I want with a TV of a hefty price tag. No other devices (Mac, ios, android, windows, Android TV) have this problem. Also, it's not the wifi issue, as I can watch the same titles on other devices. The LG TV also doesn't have the capability to remember a few WiFi networks to ease this workaround of switching networks.
Alas, Nobody informed me about this issue earlier while making the purchase. Now such pricey TVs shouldn't have these issues at all. Kindly let me know If there is a permanent fix for this issue.

Hello,
I have a new C4 TV.
Here is the problem I am facing, as well as a suggestion for improvement.
When you have an acoustic deficiency, it is much easier to use a headset (via bluetooth).
But the only current option is to switch the sound to the internal speakers when you activate the bluetooth.
It is still a shame to penalize other people who watch TV by no longer allowing the use of a good sound installation that you have (sound bar, ...) because a person needs an acoustic aid.
Would it be possible to add this combination (optical output + bluetooth) to satisfy everyone?
I add that I tried to place an optical splitter to combine the 2, however, there is a bug apparently because as soon as you turn off the headset, there is a white rectangle which probably indicates an error that appears very briefly but every few seconds, which makes TV viewing impossible.

I have an LG C2 OLED TV. I have noticed that whenever I connect any player (Bluray or Set-top box) through HDMI and watch DV content with Bluetooth earbuds/headphones connected to the TV, the video's DV metadata is out of sync and causes delayed brightness change at every scene cut. In addition to that, I also see this weird outline for any moving objects in the scene as well.
This issue doesn't happen if I watch the DV content directly through the Webos player itself and I have watched a lot of stuff that way. The issue also doesn't happen if I watch standard HDR10 stuff through an HDMI player. It is only weirdly specific to the scenario where the DV content is played through an external player through HDMI and a Bluetooth audio device is connected to the TV. The issue again doesn't happen in the case of DV content playing through HDMI without any Bluetooth device connected to the TV.
It would be great if someone could confirm this is the case with their TV as well, and if anyone has any idea on why this is happening and what can be done to fix it.

Company Enhances Smart Home Connectivity With Open API
SEOUL, Dec. 17, 2024 — LG Electronics (LG) has fully opened the Application Programming Interface (API) of its smart home platform, LG ThinQ, enabling developers to easily create smart spaces with LG appliances.
Recently, LG launched the LG Smart Solution API Developer website (
link hidden, please login to view) to officially open up the LG ThinQ API. An API acts as a digital connector that allows different software to exchange functions seamlessly. Developers can utilize the open API to integrate various features from LG AI appliances into their programs or systems, enhancing their services. The LG ThinQ API is divided into two categories: the ThinQ API for individual users and the ThinQ Business API for corporate partners. The ThinQ API allows for remote control of LG devices installed in homes or buildings and facilitates integration with various platforms.
For individual users, the ThinQ API supports the control and monitoring of AI appliances registered in the LG ThinQ app from various smart home platforms. By utilizing the ThinQ API, anyone can easily create a customized smart home that fits their lifestyle. For example, users of the global smart home platform Home Assistant can now connect and control 26 types of LG AI appliances, including refrigerators and washing machines, within their existing smart home environment. Home Assistant is a community-based open platform with about one million users worldwide who collaboratively develop various smart home functions such as device automation and feature expansion.
For enterprises, the ThinQ Business API supports partners operating office or residential buildings in integrating and managing various LG products, from appliances to commercial equipment like HVAC and signage, with their existing apps. For instance, large residential buildings can integrate LG appliances with their existing management apps for more convenient use. Residents can reserve the use of LG washers and dryers in common areas through the building management app, or administrators can detect abnormal conditions in the building using LG’s temperature and humidity sensors and quickly respond to issues through alert functions.
Meanwhile, LG has accelerated the integration of external products and services into the LG ThinQ platform by acquiring the smart home platform company Athom, known for its extensive IoT device connectivity. Athom’s smart home hub Homey currently connects over 50,000 types of appliances and IoT devices, and the Athom app store features around 1,000 apps that connect and control products and services from global brands like Philips and Aqara. Just purchased this and the set up is driving me nuts. I have a Sony reciever that I use for my audio out as well as HDMI device switching. The output of the reciever is going to HDMI 1. The TV audio out is set to HDMI (ARC) device. When watching devices directly connected to the reciever (cable box, roku, DVD, Tivo), audio out is fine. If I try switching to the smart menu or the antenna, there is no audio going from the TV back to the reciever. I also have a Roku I can use for streaming, but not for OTA. Should I just route everything directly into the TV, and use the optical out to get sound to the reciever? Also since setting up the TV and remote there is strange interaction btween the TV and the reciever. I noticed that my cable box, dvd, and roku all show up devices attached to HDMI 1, and clicking on that device will change the input on the reciever, but I have no control over the reciever from the LG remote, volume and muting buttons have no effect. Also there soesn't seem to be anyway to control my Fios cable box, a Motorola HD QIp 7100-1. I have the IR blaster sitting right next to it
