LAS VEGAS, Jan. 2, 2023 — LG Electronics (LG) unveiled its 2023 TV lineups, headlined by its most advanced range of OLED TVs yet. With premium self-lit picture quality, powerful image processing technologies and an enhanced webOS platform offering even more smart features and services, the company’s latest OLED TVs elevate the viewing experience as only LG OLED can.

A decade after introducing the world to the first-ever large-screen OLED TV, LG continues to lead the premium TV market. The company’s cutting-edge OLED TVs have been recognized at the CES Innovation Award for 11 years in a row, and have kept evolving over time to deliver ever-greater value to consumers. LG OLED is renowned for its exceptional picture quality, producing vibrant, accurate colors with deep blacks and an infinite contrast ratio for images that are remarkably lifelike.

In addition to realizing more immersive viewing experiences, LG’s self-lit technology has enabled the company to create unprecedented, visually-stunning TV form factors, including market-firsts such as the rollable LG SIGNATURE OLED R and the bendable LG OLED Flex. A double honoree at the CES 2023 Innovation Award, LG OLED Flex won Best of Innovation in the Gaming category.

Spearheading LG’s 2023 OLED lineup are the latest Z3, G3 and C3 OLED evo series TVs. These upgraded, new models provide higher brightness and color accuracy as well as amazing clarity and detail thanks to the precision and performance of LG OLED evo technology and the new α9 AI Processor Gen6.

The latest Alpha series processor utilizes LG’s most sophisticated AI-assisted Deep Learning tech to ensure outstanding picture and sound quality. AI Picture Pro now offers improved upscaling for better clarity, and enhanced dynamic tone mapping, which helps reveal the depth and detail in every frame. AI Picture Pro also integrates a picture processing technology that detects and refines important objects, such as people’s faces, to give them a more lifelike HDR quality. In addition to fine-tuning image reproduction, the α9 AI Processor Gen6 powers LG’s AI Sound Pro; a feature that helps viewers get swept up in the onscreen action by delivering virtual 9.1.2 surround sound from the TVs’ built-in speaker system.

Another significant upgrade applied to this year’s OLED evo G3 series is LG’s Brightness Booster Max technology, which incorporates brand-new light control architecture and light-boosting algorithms to increase brightness by up to 70 percent.1 Brightness is mapped and controlled on a pixel-by-pixel basis, resulting in sharper, more realistic images.

LG’s 2023 G3 OLED evo models also boast an aesthetic upgrade via the introduction of the ultra-seamless One Wall Design.2 Leaving no visible gap when wall mounted, this year’s models bring style and effortless elegance to the living room.

Also, LG continues to leverage its technological leadership not just to create products and services for a better life. 2023 LG OLED TVs are designed to be kinder to the environment, from production all the way through to disposal creating sustainable cycles. LG OLED TVs have no backlighting unit, meaning each TV requires fewer materials to produce than a conventional LED TV. They also employ many components made from recycled plastics, and are even shipped in eco-packaging made from recyclable materials and featuring single-color printing. Easier on viewers’ eyes, all of LG’s 2023 model OLED TVs have been certified low blue light by TÜV Rheinland and flicker-free by UL Solutions.

LG OLED is also introducing a refreshed, more personalized user experience in 2023. Featuring the latest version of webOS, this year’s models present All New Home, a redesigned user interface (UI) that offers a wealth of personalization options and more convenience than ever. The new ‘Quick Cards’ offer users easy access to the content and services they use the most – all grouped into logical categories such as Home Office, Gaming, Music and Sports. LG’s more advanced webOS makes it easy for everyone using the TV to enjoy personalized recommendations tailored to their own preferences which are determined based on viewing history and viewing habits.

Furthering the personalized user experience on LG OLED TV is AI Concierge, which provides each user with a curated list of content choices based on their past usage and search inquiries, and provides a selection of trending content for them to browse.

Designed for first-class home cinema experiences, LG OLED TVs continue to support the image- and audio-enhancing capabilities of Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. What’s more, this year’s LG TVs offer seamless integration with the latest LG Soundbars, delivering outstanding multi-channel surround sound with IMAX enhanced quality powered by DTS:X. LG TV and soundbar also combine to offer the WOW Orchestra3 feature, which takes advantage of both products’ audio channels to produce stronger, more immersive sound.

As one would expect, LG’s 2023 OLED models support a wide range of features compliant with HDMI 2.1a. They are also the first TV sets to be certified by the HDMI organization for the recently announced Quick Media Switching VRR (QMS-VRR). QMS-VRR can eliminate the momentary ‘black screen’ that sometimes occurs when switching between content played from different source devices connected via the TV’s HDMI 2.1a compliant ports.4

The ultimate gaming displays, LG’s self-lit OLED TVs boast a 0.1 millisecond response time, low input lag and up to four HDMI 2.1a compliant ports. LG OLED TVs are also equipped with the Game Optimizer, allowing users to quickly select and switch between gaming-specific features, such as game-genre display presets. Settings for G-SYNC® Compatible, FreeSync™ Premium and variable refresh rate (VRR) are easily accessible from the Game Optimizer as well.

LG’s state-of-the-art 2023 OLED TVs will be on show during CES 2023 from January 5-8 at the company’s booth (#15501, Central Hall, Las Vegas Convention Center). Keep up with all of LG’s exciting announcements at CES by following #LGCES2023 on social media.

Up until a few days ago my TV and AVR have been working perfectly since I bought it.
Zero hassles with HDMI and connectivity.
Then I was prompted to update to the latest software version which I did and now often when I switch HDMI (running on 1) it picks up the device name, CEC works but I get “No Signal”… and then nothing.
Just stays on “No Signal”. It is almost as if some HDMI handshake breaks and now the driver is in a broken state.
I’ve found that if I hard power off and power on the device sometimes works but I don’t want to do that every time especially since it’s hard to get to the power.
This really strikes me as a software issue with the latest update as absolutely nothing else has changed in my setup.
      I’ve tried:
Different HDMI cables (high quality) Deep colour settings Reset the TV to factory default Different HDMI ports TV
      Model: OLED65G26LA / OLED65G26LA.HFBQLWK WebOS TV Version: 8.3.0.2301 Software Version: 13.30.56 AVR & Devices
Marantz SR5015 Nvidia Shield Pro PS5
The setup is the conventional AVR installation as shown in the attached file

      Has anyone else experienced this?
Is it possible to revert the software update?

I have recently purchased an LG 55QNED86 television. I am located in Iran. Everything seems to be working fine, but when I click on any of the options, it tells me I must first consent to the LG Smart TV user agreement. However, I then get a message saying "Unable to load user agreements - a server error has occurred ......"
      Can you help?

Dominating With Over 52.4 Percent Market Share in 2024,
Company Reinforces Its Unrivaled Leadership in Premium TVs

SEOUL, March 12, 2025 — LG Electronics (LG) has reaffirmed its dominance in the premium TV market, leading global OLED TV shipments in 2024 with over 52.4 percent of the market share. For 12 consecutive years, LG has commanded the global OLED TV market, continually enhancing the TV experience with audiovisual excellence and AI-powered personalization, embodying the true essence of OLED technology with perfect black levels and enhanced brightness.
According to market research firm Omdia, LG secured the top spot in the global OLED TV market last year, shipping an impressive 3.18 million OLED TV units. Notably, fourth-quarter shipments alone surpassed 1.1 million units, showcasing the company’s ability to deliver cutting-edge technology that meets evolving consumer preferences.
OLED TVs accounted for 45 percent of the premium TV market in 2023, based on models priced at USD 1,500 and above, marking an 8.5 percentage point increase from the previous year. With the market expected to exceed 50 percent this year, LG is committed to driving innovation and maintaining its leadership in the OLED TV industry.
As demand for larger screens continues to rise, the number of ultra-large OLED TV shipments has also increased, comprising 16 percent of the entire OLED TV market. LG remains at the forefront, dominating the market with a 57.5 percent share in 2024 for OLED screens of 75 inches and above, including a compelling selection of 77-inch, 83-inch, 88-inch and 97-inch models.
Backed by over a decade of OLED innovation, LG is set to introduce its latest OLED TVs, featuring advancements like wireless transmission of audio and visual content up to 4K 144Hz with no latency or loss in quality, AI-powered personalization through webOS, and superior picture quality with enhanced brightness and perfect black levels for a truly exceptional viewing experience.
Global TV shipments reached 208.8 million units last year, marking a return to growth after three years, with OLED TV shipments rising 8 percent year-on-year to 6.07 million units. Additionally, LG’s total TV shipments across both OLED and LCD models reached 22.6 million units last year, representing 16.1 percent of global TV market revenue.

Have you ever wondered how many LG OLED TVs are shipped every year? 100 thousand units perhaps, maybe as much as a million? In the first half of 2023, LG recorded over 1.33 million shipments of its stunning OLED TVs, setting new benchmarks and records its competitors can only dream of.
      According to market research firm
link hidden, please login to view, LG captured over 55 percent of the global OLED TV market in the first six months based on total shipments. As a renowned OLED TV leader now celebrating 10 years of innovation in this space, LG has once again defended its premium TV crown while further cementing LG OLED TV’s status as the pinnacle of premium TVs.
The “bigger the better” trend continues to prevail in the TV market, which is great news for LG. As more and more people desire larger TVs for their living spaces, models of 75 inches or larger accounted for a remarkable 11.4 percent share of total OLED TVs sold, while shipments’ yearly average growth rate topped 90 percent over the past five years. Staying on top of this growing trend, LG is resuming its dominance in the market with an outstanding 64.2 percent share in total shipments of OLED TVs over 75 inches.
LG is targeting this new demand for large and premium TVs in the second half of 2023 with the groundbreaking TV (model 97M3) it unveiled in July, which boasts the world’s first 4K 120Hz wireless solution that makes it easy for customers to achieve their dream interior.

Not one to be confined, LG unleashed a tidal wave of 10 million TV units (OLED and LCD) on the world, which has helped the company carve out a 16.2 percent share of revenue for itself in the global TV market.
Despite facing a downturn in the global TV market, LG persisted in strengthening its inventory management and securing higher profits while actively pursuing a strategic approach for its premium and ultra-large displays. And this commitment has paid off substantially, with its LG OLED TVs now accounting for around 30 percent of the company’s overall revenue generated from TV sets.

TV shipments totaled over 92 million units in the first half of 2023, matching last year’s first half performance. The OLED TV segment, which has been led by LG for a number of years, has already passed the 2 million shipments mark this year, which bodes well for the rest of 2023.
OLED TVs are continuing their takeover of the global TV market after capturing 9.3 percent of all revenue in the first half. Meanwhile, Omdia predicts that OLED TVs are set to shine even brighter, projecting at least a 43 percent revenue share among premium TVs priced above USD 1,500.
