In today’s fast-evolving digital landscape, technology continues to redefine how businesses engage with their audiences. To stay ahead, companies are embracing innovative content creation methods that deliver immersive, high-quality experiences, capturing attention and driving deeper engagement.
LG has taken a major leap forward in content production with the launch of its state-of-the-art virtual production studio at its North American headquarters in New Jersey, USA. A potential first in the consumer electronics industry, this in-house content lab empowers LG with advanced tools to produce premium-quality content that reflects its diverse product portfolio, emphasizing efficiency and sustainability.
At the core of the LG Virtual Production Studio is the company’s award-winning commercial LED display technology, featuring a 1.5mm pixel pitch display spanning two walls. This setup enables immersive, cost-effective and flexible content creation, complemented by cutting-edge technologies from LG’s partners, including the Megapixel HELIOS Controller and Mo-Sys Camera Tracking Solutions/Server.

This collaboration seamlessly integrates LED displays and controllers with Mo-Sys’s XR technology to create a comprehensive XR solution. In the LG Virtual Production Studio, the HELIOS Controller allows multiple users to operate the Mo-Sys Camera Tracking Solutions/Server platform in real time without the need for additional software.
The studio significantly enhances production efficiency by reducing set build times. Advanced features such as parallax motion and real-time rendering enhance realism and adaptability, offering greater creative flexibility, increased content output and cost savings. Looking ahead, the studio plans to produce episodic content and collaborate with brands, further reinforcing LG’s commitment to innovative storytelling.
Beyond creative benefits, virtual production reduces the need for costly physical sets and on-location shoots, minimizing environmental impact while streamlining production workflows. This shift helps reduce environmental impact while making content creation faster and more adaptable to a variety of creative demands.
The LG Virtual Production Studio features a 25-foot, two-wall display constructed from two large 1.5mm pixel pitch LG MAGNIT Studio Series LBAG015-G3 Direct View Micro LED displays, positioned at a 90-degree angle. Despite being a compact 1,000-square-foot space – small compared to conventional studios – this setup delivers limitless creative possibilities with ultra-realistic backgrounds and seamless special effects. Unlike traditional LED displays with wider pixel pitches that require large studios to avoid visible pixels, LG MAGNIT technology enables high-quality content creation within a compact footprint.
LG’s global in-house creative agency, HSAD, plays a pivotal role in maximizing the studio’s potential, leveraging its cutting-edge tools to craft compelling narratives that resonate with diverse audiences. The establishment of this advanced studio marks a significant milestone for LG, underscoring its commitment to innovation and sustainability in content creation.
By investing in an in-house virtual production studio, LG is redefining creativity – producing high-quality content faster with less environmental impact and new levels of creative freedom.

SEOUL, Jan. 2, 2025 — LG Electronics (LG) is showcasing an innovative, new solution that extends the convenience and comfort of the LG AI Home into mobility spaces at CES 2025. The “Lifestyle Solution for Mobility” concept vehicle, on display at the company’s booth, introduces the LG Mobility Experience (MX) platform. This groundbreaking mobility space solution integrates a full suite of LG’s smart life solutions to create a seamless connection between mobility and the AI Home, offering entirely new lifestyle experiences.
LG’s MX platform expands the definition of home solutions, creating a new type of multifaceted, multipurpose space. Using a modular package system, the platform integrates LG’s innovative appliance hardware and AI technologies to transform the vehicle cabin into an adaptable environment. This space can function as an extension of the home, a private media lounge or a creative studio, unlocking a raft of exciting “Space-as-an-Experience” opportunities for potential customers.
The MX platform aligns with prevailing auto industry trends and customer preferences, which are shifting away from traditional notions of transportation and towards the idea of vehicles as a personalized lifestyle space. The platform offers a tailored lifestyle experience where the latest products, AI solutions and services synergize to support superior user comfort and convenience.
The MX platform features a dual-cabin design: a front driver’s cabin and a rear customizable experience space. Users can configure this versatile space in a variety of different ways, such as dividing it into multifunctional zones or converting it into a hyper-personalized lifestyle spaces complete like a creator studio, business lounge or separate zones for relaxation and hobbies. The modular design makes it possible to equip the rear cabin with various appliances, enabling users to select combinations that meet their particular needs and preferences. LG plans to offer the MX platform as a subscription service, making it accessible to a broader audience.
Powered by LG’s AI Home solution, ThinQ ON, the MX platform lets users tailor conditions inside the vehicle and enjoy helpful lifestyle services such as daily schedule management and information briefings. Additional services from external providers – including food and beverage order, laundry and hotel booking – can be integrated to further expand and enrich the user experience.
Visitors to LG’s booth at CES 2025 can explore the MX platform in the “Lifestyle Solution for Mobility” experience space. This will showcase highly-customizable space solutions and mobility lifestyle solutions, featuring LG’s state-of-the-art appliances and Internet of Things devices. It will offer a compelling preview of the future of mobility and connected hybrid living spaces.
“The innovative MX platform, based on the concept of ‘Space-as-an-Experience,’ leverages LG’s strength in appliances and AI Home technology to present a new direction for mobility experiences,” said Lyu Jae-cheol, president of the LG Home Appliance Solution Company. “Pursuing our Zero Labor Home vision, we will continue to connect and expand customer experiences across all aspects of daily life.”

Hi,
I have a Disney+ premium subscription. But if I play a Dolby Atmos Film on Disney+ on my LG OLED G4 (e.g. guardians of the galaxy vol. 3) the Dolby Atmos signal doesn't reach my soundbar (LG ds95qr) which is connected via HDMI cable over eArc. On the TV only Dolby vision Logo is showing. Any suggestions?

Question

Hi, like the title says. Whenever I try watching Dolby vision content in my LG A2 it just shows a black screen. The sounds plays perfectly fine without any issue. It is just the video that is not working. I don't have any HDMI inputs connected. This content worked in the past, but for some reason is not working anymore. I have already tried power cycling the tv and deleting and reinstalling the apps I tried it on.
Thanks for any help!
